Lewis Bald was an illustrator of French spanking stories. Below is his artwork from the 1913 novel L’Avatar de Lucette (Lucette’s Avatar) by James Lovebirch. According to curiosa researcher Thanalie, the illustrations are significantly different in style from those in Les Cinq fessées de Suzette and were possibly done by the artist M. del Giglio.
A second edition of L’Avatar de Lucette was released in 1921 with illustrations by Georges Topfer.
